Distraction therapy can soothe itchy, irritated skin, a side effect from certain drugs and treatments. This was the insight we identified, along with analyzing the efficacy of a similar therapy which was successfully piloted to treat burn victims. So we dreamed up an immersive, cooling, and therapeutic VR experience for dry, itchy skin.
The concept relied on having patients sign up for the kit as part of an integrated, branded CRM effort. Cheap and cheery, we looked at doing this with Google Cardboard.
